Greg has an in-depth knowledge of generating plants and distribution systems. He has a thorough understanding of control schematics and power system protection and coordination. Greg joined Elcon after serving as the Transmission and Distribution Standards Engineer III for Portland General Electric where he developed engineering standards and specifications; worked with crews and manufacturer representatives to solve engineering problems; and researched new equipment, wrote tech notes, and worked with the supply chain. Greg also has previous experience working for the US Army Corps of Engineers as an electrical engineer performing design and analysis of electrical systems at Corps hydroelectric power plants. Additionally, Greg has taught senior level courses as an adjunct professor in Power System Analysis, Control and Protection, and integration of renewables to the grid.
