Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Graduate of university Electrical Engineering program (EIT or PE preferred).
  • 3 years of experience as an electrical engineer in a design environment.
  • Basic knowledge of lighting.
  • Basic knowledge of data cabling, fire alarms, CCTV, access control.
  • Must demonstrate strong ethical behavior while striving to produce quality work within project budgets and schedules.
  • Must understand the value of client satisfaction.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, be a highly motivated team player, and able to work under time constraints.
  • Ability to work with designers, drafters, and administration personnel to meet projects’ deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT or PE registration.

Elcon Associates, Inc. is seeking an electrical designer to work out of our Tukwila, WA office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design of electrical systems including main service and distribution, standby power, general power, and circuiting etc.
  • Design and produce drawings suitable for construction with sufficient detail based on engineer input including verbal and written instructions, and drawing upon previous work and a library of electronic and hard-copy reference material.
  • Understand and comply with both client-specific and Elcon CAD standards and preferences.
  • Implement file management procedures to organize and maintain electronic drawing files.
  • Communicate effectively with the other drafting and design staff and client representatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as an electrical designer or equivalent.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with working knowledge in the other CAD applications (Microstation, Revit) preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong ethical behavior while striving to produce quality work within project budgets and schedules.
  • Must understand the value of client satisfaction.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Elcon is seeking a marketing/accounting assistant to aid Elcon’s accounting and marketing teams. If you are passionate about marketing, accounting, and looking to work with fun, energetic and intelligent professionals in a collaborative and rewarding environment with an electrical engineering firm specializing in infrastructure design, this will likely be a good fit for you!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project set up
  • Project budget tracking
  • Accounts Receivable/Collections
  • Desire to work both independently and as a part of the Elcon team, including accounting and marketing team members, engineers, technical staff, and leadership
  • Be Trained as a back up to Accounting Manager in payroll, AP, and other crucial accounting tasks
  • Assist with review and process employee expense reports.
  • Assist in collection activities on outstanding receivables
  • Supporting marketing team with project and resume updates and proposal development support (within the sectors of water/wastewater and electric utilities)
  • Download RFP/RFQ documents and create proposal folders.
  • Update marketing data base with project information.
  • Update staff resumes.
  • Support preparation of and timely responses to roster solicitations
  • Openness to learn, navigate, use the Deltek Vision system, and assist in the preparation of new software migration.
  • Assist in the development of website and LinkedIn updates
  • Fulfill other administrative tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  • This individual must be a self-starter who can work independently and meet multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong writing skills, communication, organizational and computer skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (marketing, accounting, finance) highly desired.
  • A/E/C industry experience highly desired.
  • Previous proposal development experience
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) software highly desired.

Elcon Associates, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical engineer to work out of our Beaverton, OR office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and prepare design and provide guidance in developing of the following substation outdoor drawings: General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views (Elevations), Detailed Bills of Material, Lightning Stroke Shielding Plans, Grounding Plans, Conduits, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details, Underground Conduit/Raceway Plans, and Control Building Equipment & Cable Tray Layout.
  • Supervise and provide design or assist in preparing and developing the engineering deliverables including one & three-line diagrams; relaying and metering; AC/DC schematics; control and relaying panel layouts and equipment wiring diagrams; auxiliary system design including batteries and chargers, AC & DC load centers, conduit, and cable sizing.
  • Lead technical discussion with customers or peers explaining the issue/problem as well as the decision process behind the solution.
  • Provide oversight/guidance to junior engineers.
  • Possess social and communication skills necessary to integrate into a team, as well as effectively communicate with peers and customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • PE licensure preferred

Elcon Associates, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical engineer to work out of our Beaverton, OR office or remotely from the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical, managerial, and supervisory direction for projects in various market segments.
  •  Perform technical activities including, power systems studies, low and medium voltage distribution design for rail transit and water & wastewater treatment facilities. Experience with high voltage substation design is a plus.
  • Provide supervision and direction for the preparation of construction documents including drawings, calculations, reports, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Work with marketing and business managers and other technical discipline leads in developing technical proposals and have a proactive role in marketing.
  • This senior position provides the opportunity to manage, mentor and grow a strong team of dynamic engineering and design staff working on large and complex projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Oregon or California PE with 10 – 15 years of experience in heavy industrial and/ or rail transit. California rail transit experience is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with consulting engineering firms is a must.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and management skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong ethical behavior while striving to produce quality work within project budgets and schedules.
  • Must understand the value of client satisfaction.
